Boyne Forever Foundation

In 1947, Everett Kircher made a bold investment—just $1 for a parcel of land in northern Michigan that would become Boyne Mountain Resort. What began as a vision to bring skiing to the Midwest grew into a 75+ year legacy of innovation, stewardship, and community. The Boyne Forever Foundation was created to carry that spirit forward. Inspired by that single dollar and the belief that big change can start small, we invite you to be part of something meaningful.

The Boyne Forever Foundation supports the landscapes, communities, and team members that make your time at Loon Mountain memorable. Whether you're skiing fresh powder, hiking through quiet forests, or gathering with loved ones in one the nearby Lincoln-Woodstock area, your experience is made possible by the care we invest in people and place.

Managed Through BFF

Charitable Requests

Loon partners with the Boyne Forever Foundation to support work that matters here in the White Mountains and beyond—whether that’s protecting the environment, strengthening local communities, or supporting team members across all Boyne resorts.

All charitable requests are now managed through Boyne Forever Foundation. If you’ve submitted requests directly through Loon in the past, we invite you to apply through BFF’s centralized process moving forward.

In-Kind Support

Eligible nonprofit organizations, schools, and community groups may submit requests for in-kind support that help create meaningful local impact.

In-kind requests may include, but not limited to:

Lift tickets
Lodging stays
Resort experiences
Merchandise
Event sponsorship items
Volunteer support
Or other non-monetary contributions

Request fulfillment is based on availability and alignment with BFF's giving priorities. Requests for cash support under $2,000 may also be considered through this application.

While BFF is not able to fulfill every request, we sincerely appreciate the work you do and the opportunity to consider supporting your efforts.

Grant Process

Grants are available through the Boyne Forever Foundation for initiatives focused on the environment, community, and Boyne Resorts team member assistance.

If your organization is helping make a difference in one of these areas, we encourage you to apply.

The annual grant application period is open from June 1 through June 30.

Eligible organizations can apply through the Boyne Forever Foundation website, where you’ll find eligibility requirements, funding priorities, and application details.

The Loon Mountain Area Community Fund has been part of Loon for over a decade—supporting friends and neighbors through hardships. That work isn’t changing.

Boyne Forever Foundation lets us reach even further—doing more. It connects all Boyne resorts—Loon included—so we can take on bigger initiatives together, caring for the environment we depend on, the communities we’re part of, and the teams who make it all possible.
