Mixed Adventure Day Camps

Geared toward beginner mountain bikers ages 8–13, our coaches will help your child develop solid foundational downhill mountain biking skills that focus is on safety and fun.

Reserve early. Limited number of spaces available per camp.

Who's The Camp For?

We'll get your young rider off to a great start.

Focusing on safety, building fundamentals and having fun, these 5-day immersive day camps help kids gain the skills and confidence to progress, through consistency and repetition.

Choose Your Camp

There are four sessions offered in July and August. Each session offers camp options ranging from Camp Only, to the all-inclusive All In Package that includes lift access and a downhill mountain bike.

Summer Activities Included

In addition to daily coaching and lunch, each day campers enjoy Loon and area summer activities.

    Camp Is:

    Tailored to beginner mountain bikers. Campers should already be able to ride a normal bike comfortably and might even have experience mountain biking.

    Required bike skills are good balance over uneven terrain, control riding downhill, able to use lever brakes well.

    Camp is Not:

    This camp is not designed for advanced riders. It does not include learning to ride jumps.

Build Skills

Focus on FUNdamentals

With consistent coaching and ample time to practice, your camper will be exposed to these skills:

  • Braking
  • Flat cornering
  • Banked cornering
  • Bike-body separation
  • Standing ready stance and body movement
  • Bike park & trail etiquette
  • Descending
  • Ascending
  • Riding over rollers
  • Riding technical terrain
  • Bike checks and basic maintenance

Summer Activities

It's Not All Downhill

Campers spend half of each day learning and practicing their downhill and cross-country biking skills. Besides focusing on skills development and free riding, campers also explore Loon's summer activities, like:

  • Ninja Wild
  • Gondola Skyride
  • Summit Glacial Caves
  • Zipline
  • Cross-country biking
  • Whales Tale Waterpark*
    (*weather permitting)
  • White Mountain Pickleball Club

What to Bring

Safety and comfort are key for MTB. Camps run rain or shine. Be sure to have these items:

  • Water (bottle or hydration pack)
  • Comfortable weather-appropriate athletic clothing
  • Change of clothes for inclement weather
  • Flat-soled closed toe shoes
  • Gloves
  • Goggles or sunglasses
  • Raincoat
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Snacks
  • Bring your lunch, if preferred

Need to Know

Other Important Information

  • Camps run rain or shine
  • Lunch and transportation to off-site activities included
  • Campers must be picked up by a parent or guardian age 18+
  • In order to accommodate dietary restrictions, please notify us of our camper's needs prior to start of camp. Camper may bring a packed lunch, if preferred.
  • Waivers must be completed prior to arrival at camp
