Seasonal Programs Update for December 9–10

The season is ramping up with the start of the Dev and Scouts programs this weekend. There's also important information for all program participating families. Read on for details and don't miss a beat.

Development Team & Scouts | December 9–10

Time & Location: Meet on snow at your child's group sign at 8:30AM. We'll utilize the Seasonal Programs Building for breaks and warm-ups.
Child Pick Up:
Saturdays: 3:00PM
Sundays: 1:00PM*
*Monday Holidays: Sunday pick up is 3:00PM

We do our best to accommodate requests. As we work to assign children to the best group to foster an environment of safety, fun and learning, we expect some adjustments to groups during the first few weeks of the season. We'll take into consideration individual personalities, learning styles, age, skills levels and more. We'll notify you of any changes to your child's group assignment.

Child Drop Off & Parking

Please do not leave your vehicles unattended in the drop-off zones at the resort. Please park in a designated parking spot if you intend to escort your child to the morning on-snow meet-up area.

Questions About Your Child's Evaluation?

We will do our best to accommodate your child in the seasonal programs. If you have questions, please read some helpful information below, and reach out to me to discuss.

What Ability Level is My Child?

One of the most frequently asked questions we get is, "How do I know what level skier or rider my child is?"

Many believe that their child’s ability level is in direct correlation to the terrain on which they can make it down, regardless whether in a wedge or skiing parallels. Actually, it is based on their ability to ski/ride within the mastery or performance of the basic fundamentals of skiing and riding.

Our goal is to build a progression so that each student, in their own ability and understanding, can accomplish great skiing and riding technique on a variety of terrain and trail types.

The Skier/Rider Ability chart will help give you an idea of what our coaches look for when assessing and preparing their game plan for each weekend.
