To access the resort during the Festival, an event ticket is required.
Festival Highlights
Competitions
Watch Highland dance, pipe and drum, fiddle and harp competitions. Plus the popular sheepdog trials and the heavy athletic competitions.
Seminars
Seminars include whisky & beer tasting, and a look back at Scottish history. Demonstrations and workshops are also available for harp, fiddle, and Scottish country dancing.
Concerts
Each year, people gather at the NH Highland Games & Festival, eager to enjoy Scottish and Gaelic music, ranging from lively tunes and soulful ballads to tribal beats.

Savor Scottish Delights
Meat pies, bridies, haggis, and a variety of sweet treats and traditional festival fare available at several food venues. The Vendor Village is where you'll find kilts, piping supplies, tartans and more must-have items for yourself or as a gift.
Sheep Dog Trials
Dogs, guided by their handlers using personalized whistle commands, are judged on their performance and efficiency to guide a pack of sheep through obstacles in the fastest time.

Resort Activities
Gondola Skyrides to Loon Peak
Board the 4-passenger White Mountain Express Gondola, and travel 1,738 vertical feet to the summit of Loon Peak. Marvel at the jaw-dropping views of the surrounding peaks and valley.
Kancamagus 8
Catch a ride on the Kanc 8 high-speed chairlift. Or, gear up for the lift-served Bike Park, with terrain for beginners and seasoned riders alike.
Parking + Shuttles
General Parking
- General parking is located in the towns of Lincoln and Woodstock.
- All parking is free.
- Follow signs to designated parking areas and ride free shuttle buses to Loon Mountain Resort.
- Shuttles run from 8AM to 6PM daily (hours extended as needed)
Handicap Parking Information
- Park at the Pemigewasset Base Camp at South Peak.
- You will board a handicap-equipped bus to be driven on the event grounds.
Know Your Shuttle Route
- Each lot has a designated shuttle route (number 1, 2 or 3). Knowing your parking lot will help you board the correct shuttle when you leave the festival.
Evening Concerts + Events
- Evening concert parking is free and is located on-site at Loon Mountain Resort.
- There is no shuttle service for evening events.

Pets
Only service animals are allowed on the grounds during the Highland Games. Pets are not permitted, and cannot be left in your vehicle. Please leave your pet at home.
Firearms
Firearms are not allowed on the grounds during the Highland Games.
Dress for Success
This is an outdoor event. Dress according to the weather, and wear comfortable footwear. Your feet will thank you.
