Ski & Snowboard Lessons Children's Seasonal Programs Ages 3-6
2013-14 Seasonal Kids Camps
Even the very best skiers and snowboarders were beginners once upon a time. That’s where our Scouts program comes in. In these comprehensive season-long camps, our instructors use innovative techniques to get kids comfortable on snow, and well on their way to shredding like the pros.
Junior Scouts - Age 3, All Abilities
Perfect for knee-high skiers and snowboarders, the Loon Junior Scouts is for three-year-olds of all abilities. Kids will spend a minimum of two hours a day on snow, interspersed with fun indoor and on-snow activities to encourage variety. Kids meet at Loon’s Children’s Center at 8:00 a.m. where they are grouped by ability.
Scouts - Ages 4-6
The Junior Scouts is for kids ages four to six, of all abilities. Junior Scouts spend at least four hours a day on snow, plus activities, lunch, and breaks at the Children’s Center. Scouts meet at the Children’s Center at 8:00 a.m.
Snowboarders in the Scouts and Junior Scouts programs also get to use the new Burton Riglet Park. This Paul Bunyan-themed park uses terrain-based learning that incorporates a fun playground-sized train and carved animals.
All Scouts are grouped by ability at the beginning of the winter. Kids also get their own storage cubby in the Children’s Center that they’ll use for the entire season.
