This is a good time for all ages!  Free and open to the 1st 75 entries registered.

Start working on your creations now.  Just be sure to follow a few simple rules! 

We will inspect before the race and the winners!

Registration will be from 8:30 - 10:30 AM inside the Governor's Lodge.  Be sure to have your entry at registration so we can make sure you are within the rules!!  Also be sure to fill out the waiver and get team number!

Then we will begin the Cardboard Parade at 11:30 AM for the race to begin at approximately 12:00 NOON.

Race will be held below Coolidge Street.  Should be something to see!

Annual Cardboard Box Classic Rules and Regulations
1 Entry must be made out of a cardboard box with a minimum of three sides, at least 12  inches high and must have a cardboard box bottom running surface. Entry must be decorated.
2 Each entry must have one or more pilots. Pilots must be in the box during the race. Hand held ski poles may be allowed for steering purposes, but cannot be attached to the vehicle.  Helmets are encouraged
3 The following materials are examples of  what is NOT allowed on the running surface of the cardboard box: wood, duct tape, plasic packing tape, metal, plastic, staples, rubber, epoxy, polyurethane, fiberglass, shellac, or varnish.  Basically, it must be a cardboard bottom.

Any person under 18 must be accompanied by parent/guardian to sign a release form.

There are three divisions eligible for cash awards:  Best Themed Favorite Trail*, Fastest Timed Run of the Day, and Best Crash.

Cardboard Parade will showcase all the entrants across the bottom of Coolidge Street before making their way uphill!

Officials will inspect entrants at registration and reserve the right to inspect all winning vehicles. Decision of the judges is final.

*  Best cardboard box decorated like a trail name. Loon has many trails with many meanings, pick your favorite and design your cardboard box after it.
